Experimental Programme
BEAMOS
BEAMOS is an experimental BEAM-native distributed execution platform and operating-system research programme. It explores how Erlang, Elixir and OTP-style systems could run across bare metal, virtual machines, cloud instances, edge systems and constrained devices, including a Rust substrate below the BEAM runtime.
The programme separates the OS/runtime, communications Fabric, Data Fabric, policy, identity, placement, telemetry, FinOps, integrations, evidence and assurance. Its aim is to keep ordinary Elixir/OTP applications ordinary while providing stronger primitives for distributed execution, data sovereignty, observability and assurance.
BEAMOS is experimental research, not a production platform.
